The basics

Pages

A page is one address in your store: the home page, the shop, a product, your story. Each one is a box you design on the canvas, one at a time, at the size shoppers see it.

Moving between pages

The name of the page you're on sits at the top of the canvas, beside your store's name. Click it to pick another page, or to make a new one with + New page.

Select the page itself (click an empty spot on it, or press Esc until nothing is selected) and its settings open on the right.

A page's address

Every page has an address: what shoppers see after your store's name. The home page is /, the shop might be /shop, your story /about.

An address can have a part that changes. /products/:handle is one page that shows every product: /products/linen-cushion fills in the cushion, /products/soy-candle the candle. You design it once.

A page that shows one product

That's what This page shows one record is for:

No
A page about everything or nothing in particular: home, about, contact.
Yes, picked by its address
A product page or a collection page. The part of the address that starts with : says which one.
Yes, always the same one
A page for one product you want to make a fuss of.

Then anything on the page can show it: select a box, and in its Behaviour tab set Read data from to This page's product. Its parts can show the product's photo, name and price. See Reading data.

Design

Title
The page's name, in the page list and in the browser tab.

Where it lives in your store.
Layout of what's inside
A page is a box set to Stack, so sections land one under another. It can be None too, for a page laid out freely.
Page background
The colour behind everything.

Good to know

  • Headers and footers are components, so every page can share the same one and you change it once.
  • To delete a page, select it and choose ⋯ › Delete this page. The home page can't be deleted.
  • Check how a page fits a phone with the phone button at the top of the canvas.
