Carousels

A carousel is a row that scrolls sideways: shoppers swipe it on a phone and scroll it on a computer. It can show several things at once or one at a time, and it can move on its own.

Try it: swipe or scroll it sideways, or use the arrows. It moves on its own every 4 seconds, and stops while you're using it.

How to make one

  1. Select a box, or a list, and set its Layout of what's inside to Carousel.
  2. Under Show, choose Several (each thing keeps its own width) or One at a time (each is as wide as the carousel).
  3. To have it move by itself, tick Moves on its own and choose how many seconds between moves.

Good to know

It stops when it should
A carousel that moves on its own pauses while a shopper is using it, and never moves for people who've asked their device for less motion.
Phones
Every carousel can be swiped. It's a good way to fit a long row on a small screen.
Lists
A list set to Carousel repeats its component along the row, like any other layout.
